Bucket teeth are the cheapest part on a mini excavator and the one that most changes how the machine digs. Worn round teeth can cut digging productivity by a third while burning the same fuel and putting the extra load straight into the hydraulics.

There is no universal bucket tooth. Every tooth sits on an adapter welded to the bucket lip, and the tooth must match that adapter's series — not the machine brand and not the bucket width.
Start at the adapter, not the tooth. A worn tooth is hard to measure; the adapter is not.
Teeth are consumables, and buying a full set is nearly always cheaper per tooth than replacing them one at a time as each one fails.
Swapping profile is a cheaper productivity upgrade than buying a second bucket, and most owners never try it.
The common mistake is running teeth until they fall off. Long before that, a rounded tooth stops penetrating and starts pushing — the machine works harder, cycle times stretch, and the hydraulic system takes load it should not.
Replace when roughly 40% of the original point length is gone, or as soon as the adapter nose begins to show wear. Once the adapter itself wears, you are into cutting and welding a new adapter, which costs many times what a tooth does.
Mini excavator bucket teeth cost about $8 to $18 each for 0.8 to 1.8 ton machines, $16 to $30 each for 1.9 to 3 ton machines, and $28 to $45 each above that. A full set for a typical three-tooth mini bucket usually runs $40 to $110 including new pins and retainers.
Identify the adapter welded to the bucket lip, not the machine brand. Measure the adapter nose width and height in millimetres and note whether the tooth is retained by a side pin or bolts through the lip. A side-on photo of the adapter with a tape measure across it is usually enough for us to identify the series.

Pin-on teeth slide over an adapter nose and are held by a horizontal side pin, which is the most common setup on mini excavators and the fastest to change in the field. Bolt-on teeth bolt flat through the bucket lip and are more common on grading buckets, clean-out buckets and skid steer edges.
A tiger or penetration profile is best in hardpan, clay and frost because the narrow point concentrates force. It wears faster than a standard tooth, so many owners keep a tiger set for hard conditions and a standard set for everyday mixed soil.
